52-year-old Shaquille O’Neal reveals he is on course to become ‘sports psychologist’

Big Shaq is well known throughout the basketball community for his dominance on the court as well as his charming and charismatic personality but what many don’t know is his inbred passion for education as well as making moves to empower future generations. He has invested in himself as he mentioned on the podcast that he has four degrees already and not many athletes can boast of possessing such a resume. 

Furthermore, his legacy would be long-lasting as he once confessed that education is key to unlocking and achieving potential. Regardless of the riches acquired he still understands that education is the bedrock of ultimate success. 

Shaquille O’Neal opens up on his struggle with free throws

Shaquille O’Neal had a glorified career winning the league four times but all that dominance had a bit of struggle. He was well-known for struggling with his free throws such that opposition teams used it against him. 

As a guest on Redick’s podcast, he provided insight into his struggles. He revealed that he had no issues with it during practice but when it came to the real deal, when it mattered then it became an issue. 

Shaquille O’Neal revealed on the podcast with JJ Redick:

When I’m in my house shooting, I look like you…Everybody would be mad that when I [got] in the game, it wouldn’t convert…It was a humbling experience from the man upstairs. Shaquille O’Neal told JJ Redick

Shaq started his career with the Orlando Magic after being drafted number one in the 1992 NBA Draft and made an instant impact. However, his legendary status was confirmed when he teamed up with the Los Angeles Lakers and the late Kobe Bryant to achieve further success even though his free throw woes still followed him.
